This has been a very good year for trailsnet in the awards category. This is the third award and counting.

But most important, we're getting the word out about all the great trails in the U.S. and beyond.

Mother's Day Trails

Happy Mother's Day to one and all.

I won't bore you with a long and drawn out post. It's spring, and there are some great trails you should be riding. So I have two trail suggestions for Mom to enjoy her special day.

First, for those of you in Colorado, I just published a St. Vrain Greenway trail guide on Everytrail.com. It's the best little trail you've never explored. It's one the whole family can enjoy, so click on the link in this sentence and check it out.

Secondly, for all the rest of you, if you haven't been to the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy traillink website lately, it's time for you to head on over there. Wherever you live or you're visiting, they've got a trail nearby.

The Waitukubuli National Trail in Dominica

I love trails (as you already know), and I love islands.

So I am particularly interested in finding great trails on ... (you guessed it)... islands.

I wonder how the biking would be
on this island?

I recently found this article on the Waitukubuli National Trail in Dominica.

I also found a great hiking blog about it that includes great video and textual information.

Please send me your recommendations for great island trails. I'd also like to hear about fun, safe biking experiences on islands, even if they're not on trails.

Washington D.C. trails

As many of you know, I'm a big fan of all the great trails around Washington D.C. I wish I had a couple months to explore them all.

And if you think it wouldn't take a couple months, then you're not familiar w/ all the trails the end up in or near our nation's capitol.
